Herman Creek is less visited than most areas on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge. With several trail options, it’s a great place for a cloudy day. We thought it was going to rain, but it didn’t, and instead, we had sunny skies for this hike. We saw quite a few wildflowers, including tiger lilies, columbine, lupines, and penstemon. We also saw several sections of poison oak alongside the trail.
