snowshoe: Tamanawas Falls
Snowshoe hike to Tamanawas Falls through the prettiest winter forest of them all. This is an extremely popular location in the winter so go early!
Depending on conditions, you can wear snowshoes or microspikes. I like to wear microspikes since the trail is usually packed down and it can be difficult to get across the bridges with snowshoes on.
The trailhead is located on the northeast side of Mount Hood just off highway 35. No pass is required in the winter since this isn’t an official sno-park and it’s outside of the season for the Northwest Forest Pass.
