Trapper Creek Trail
Trapper Creek Wilderness is located in Southwest Washington, and in spite of its closeness to Portland, this is my first time hiking here. I was looking for a trail that isn’t crowded and hit the jackpot here. I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a long time, but due to how little info is shared about it, I figured it wasn’t very scenic. I’m glad I was wrong about that. We only saw six other people all day long and saw plenty of forest beauty.
We hiked on the Trapper Creek trail, staying at low elevation, and did a small lollipop loop with the Deer Cutoff Trail. The trails here are a bit primitive and steep in spots, but not too much. I’m hoping to come back and check out some of the other trails in this area. I thought that it was going to rain all day (it didn’t), so all of these photos are taken with my iPhone.
