Location: Columbia River Gorge, Oregon
Distance: 5.4 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,700 ft.
All of the photos shown with this hike are after the Wahkeena section of the hike since I already have photos posted of the full Wahkeena hike we had done in the spring. Once we got to the top of Wahkeena Springs, we went on the Wahkeena Trail, which goes along a forested ridge above the Columbia River. When you get to Multnomah Creek, there are quite a few waterfalls. The path continues along the creek all the way to the base of Multnomah Falls. At the top of the highest waterfall, the path is paved the rest of the way and is full of tourists. We decided that the next time we do the hike, we’ll loop back around on the Vista Point trail and go back down Wahkeena instead.
